One such format is the Julian date format, often used in financial transactions for its simplicity and unambiguity. This blog will explore how to configure the Julian date format for EFT exports in Business Central, using the provided screenshot for reference.
What is Julian Date Format?
The Julian date format is a continuous count of days since the beginning of the Julian Period used primarily by astronomers. In the context of financial transactions, it typically represents the year and the day of the year, simplifying date representation and reducing potential errors.
For example, January 1, 2024, would be represented as 24001, where "24" represents the year 2024 and "001" is the first day of the year.
