Managing Disposed Fixed Assets in Business Central

Users often encounter the problem of disposed fixed assets still appearing on the asset list in Business Central, complicating financial reporting and asset management.

To address this, follow these steps:

  1. Set the Asset as Inactive:

    • Mark the asset as Inactive. Inactive assets will not appear in system reports and can be excluded from views using filters.
  2. Reorder the Fixed Asset List:

    • Change the asset number to include a prefix like 'Z' to move it to the bottom of the list, making it less prominent.
