How to Embed Power BI Reports in Business Central

1: Log in to Business Central
Begin by logging into your Business Central
account. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to modify and integrate
Power BI reports. Once logged in, find your way to the Power BI section within
Business Central. This area is dedicated to your data visualization needs and
is where you'll link your Power BI reports.
Step 2: Accessing Services
Look for the three dots (more options) in
the Power BI section, and click on them. Then, choose 'Services' to proceed.
This will direct you to where you can add new services, including Power BI
reports.
Step 3: Install the Power BI Report App
In the services menu, search for the Power
BI report app. Once found, click on 'Get it now' followed by 'Install'. This
action will integrate the Power BI reporting service with your Business
Central.
Step 4: Verification
Post-installation, the new Power BI app
should be visible. Click on the report to verify its functionality. Ensuring it
works correctly is crucial before you proceed with embedding it on your landing
page.
Step 5: Embedding the Report
Return to the Business Central landing page
and select the report you wish to embed. Then, click on 'Edit list' and enable
the new report. This step is vital as it allows the report to be visible and
accessible from your main dashboard.
Now, navigate to your BC landing page to
view your newly embedded Power BI report. You should see it functioning
smoothly, providing you with the insights you need directly on your dashboard.
